Todd is a founding member of the 26-year-old Educational Travel Conference, of which he is an Emeritus Council Advisor and where he has spoken on a wide range of issues concerning non-profit, educational travel. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning from Brown University. He graduated from Collegiate School (founded in 1633—the first school in North America). He has taught both at the New York Zoological Society (zoology/conservation) and the American Museum of Natural History (anthropology/archaeology). Todd has taken training programs at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Museum of the City of New York, and the American Museum of Natural History. By the age of 35, Todd had planned educational trips to and personally visited all seven continents. He has visited over 70 countries, many of them multiple times. Over the last 30 years, Todd has served as Travel Director for ten non-profit educational institutions, responsible for all of their adult, international, educational travel programs. |
![]() Co-founder and Business Manager Patricia Dooley has been managing educational travel programs for elite institutions for over 25 years. She earned both her B.S. in Foreign Service and M.S. in Chinese (summa cum laude), and is fluent in Mandarin Chinese. Throughout the 1980s, Patricia was responsible for the design, development, and successful administration of study tours for leading non-profit organizations across the U.S. An experienced tour manager, Patricia has led many educational travel programs and has traveled extensively worldwide, especially throughout Asia. |
![]() Operations Manager Valarie Roy has been with Eos since 1996. She earned a Travel Agent certificate from the New England School of Travel and went on to work as a travel agent in the Brattleboro, VT, office of a large international study tour program. Valarie moved on to work for a tour operator in Keene, NH, that specialized in the Middle East, Russia, and Asia. She oversees general office workflow and is the primary contact with tour suppliers in coordinating/confirming program terms. |
![]() Education Manager Lauren Cummings has been with Eos since 2001, right after graduate school. She has an M.A. in Classical Civilizations and a certificate in Museum Studies; and a B.A. in Anthropology, Classical Civilizations, and Sociology. Lauren has traveled extensively worldwide, often with study tour groups. At Eos, she copyedits all marketing materials and is the liaison between lecturers and tour suppliers, helping to prepare lecturers for their travels and coordinate the educational programs of all land tours and voyages. “I truly enjoyed the entire experience! ![]() Marketing Coordinator David W. Smith has been with Eos since 2009. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design and has been working in the design industry for a decade. Before coming to Eos, Dave was the lead graphic designer for a local business that tripled in size in and revenue in five years. His work has focused on corporate identity, catalogs and quarterly brochures, website design, creation of customized print media, and database management. He is also experienced with online marketing, html, and website maintenance. |

She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Geography and during her junior year spent a semester studying abroad (cruising around the world) on the Semester at Sea program.
